Mark has been doing taxes for more than 20 years. He spent three years at a "Big 4" Public Accounting firm as well as working at a Regional Firm and also with Sole Proprietors. Mark has rounded out his business acumen by serving as a Corporate Controller as well.

In addition to his Accounting Experience, he worked as a Financial Professional for a Fortune 100 Company advising his clients on all aspects of life-long financial planning.  

Mark is also a retired Army Officer and a combat veteran. He spent a total of 21 years in the U.S. Army between the active and reserve components. Mark enlisted in the Army at the age of 18, and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before attending the grueling Officer Candidate School (OCS) program. Mark served as the Class President for his OCS class and was a Distinguished Military Graduate of the course. In 2004 Mark deployed to Iraq for a year in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and retired in 2006 with the rank of Captain. The highlight of Mark’s military career was serving as the Unit Commander for a Battery of self-propelled 155MM Howitzers.

Mark is active in support of veterans and is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is a past Commander of a VFW Post as well as serving in other Officer positions for the VFW Post as well. 

In his spare time Mark enjoys acting in theater productions as well as performing stand-up comedy. He enjoys writing and is currently working on two books that will likely never be published. 

Mark is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth and has earned an MBA at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.
